well that's nice - thanks,

BUT pykde4 doesn't seem to compile without kdeprefix right now and thus preventing me to compile and work with kde4 (or there's again some minor problem upstream which will be fixed later allowing to compile it again)
I've run both 4.6.29 and 4.2.2 (both with -kdeprefix, at seperate times) and had no problems with pykde. Try to build packages without support for pykde first and then rebuild pykde after, I seem to remember that working.
roger that

now if they just would let me do it:
* repository: svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/KDE/kdemultimedia
svn: Network connection closed unexpectedly
:?

update:

there seems to be much traffic / development going on today - interesting :)

ok - how did you guys get amarok to work (the live-build / 9999 one) ?

(note: I'm running latest gcc-4.4 from upstream -> ~ RC1)

some voodoo ?

I've built mysql once with fPIC and lrt in ldflags, amarok with the same but it still just crashs

help please ! :P

thanks

Delete the database and try again.
Then if amarok doesn't find any music/can't scan the collection: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=266071

THX for fast reply :D

its weird,... sorry forget to say, i'am using " funtoo " :!:

already synced portage :roll:

also i'am getting probs with " solid "

Code: Select all

!!! Multiple package instances within a single package slot have been pulled
!!! into the dependency graph, resulting in a slot conflict:

kde-base/solid:live

  ('ebuild', '/', 'kde-base/solid-9999', 'merge') pulled in by
    >=kde-base/solid-9999:live[-kdeprefix] required by ('installed', '/', 'kde-base/plasma-workspace-9999', 'nomerge')
    >=kde-base/solid-9999:live[-kdeprefix] required by ('installed', '/', 'kde-base/powerdevil-9999', 'nomerge')
    kde-base/solid:live required by @world
    (and 2 more)

  ('installed', '/', 'kde-base/solid-9999', 'nomerge') pulled in by
    >=kde-base/solid-4.2[bluetooth] required by ('installed', '/', 'net-wireless/kdebluetooth4-9999', 'nomerge')
    (and 5 more)

  Explanation:

    New USE for 'kde-base/solid:live' are incorrectly set. In order to
    solve this, adjust USE to satisfy '>=kde-base/solid-4.2[bluetooth]'.

In order to solve this, adjust USE to satisfy '>=kde-base/solid-4.2[bluetooth]'.
Did you try adding bluetooth to your use flags and then reemerging everything with the new-use flag (particularly solid)? I would add bluetooth to my global USE flags if you are running a laptop. If you do not have bluetooth then uninstall kdebluetooth.

" bluetooth " is set in USE flags and

Code: Select all

USE="bluetooth" emerge -va kde-base/solid

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild   R   ] kde-base/solid-9999  USE="(-bluetooth) -debug -kdeprefix (-networkmanager)" 0 kB [1]

Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB
Portage tree and overlays:
 [0] /usr/portage
 [1] /usr/local/portage/layman/kde-testing

Would you like to merge these packages? [Yes/No] n
thanks anyway, removed " kdebluetooth4 !

Plasmoids not detected

Post by Gambit89 » Sun Apr 19, 2009 10:06 am

Does anyone have the plasmoids in kde-misc (like customizable-weather, toggle-compositing) working for them? They aren't for me with a kde 4.2.2 +kdeprefix system. They were detected and listed in the "add widgets" menu before, but I think they stopped showing up after the kdeprefix flag was removed for them (which was sometime when the 4.2.2 ebuilds began to show up). They were also working on kde 4.2.1 - does the problem have to do with the missing kdeprefix flag or incompatibility with 4.2.2? or both/neither?
