Pidgin crash on startup

Hi.

When I try to start pidgin it freezes the whole computer so I can't restart except with Alt+Prt-Scr+writing REISUB.

I tried to follow the steps on http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/GetABacktrace as portage told me, but it froze when I did those to.

The last lines from when I tried to get the backtrace through gdb was:

That was the part I wrote down when the computer stopped responding to my commands, except moving the mouse around and restarting it as mentioned above, so I'm not sure everything is exactly as it apeared on my screen.

I have emerged pidgin with following USE-flags:

did you try moving your pidgin configuration directory somewhere and trying with a clean config?

Deleted the .purple dir and everything stopped crashing...thanks for the tip. But now I have to delete it each time I run pidgin. This was also happening on 2.5.2, same thing on the masked version.
