Will a stage 1 bootstrap pick up on package.keywords?

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

I was wondering if the bootstrap.sh has the ability to see if there are any mods that can be made by package.keywords?

Hi, the best for that is to run emerge -e system inside of the Stage 1 method.

Well this is for a different purpose actually. I want one of the bootstrapped packages to br compiled with ICC instead of GCC. So I need to know if the bootstrap script is smart enough to pick that up

(It's actually package.icc that is the most important.)

Well it probably depends on what, but I just tried going with adding =sys-devel/gcc-4.3.2-r2 ~x86 to /etc/portage/package.keywords, and bootstrap picked up on it , still didn't get through, but it should be working :D
