Dead keys in kde4 [solved]

Brand new install. Have ~x86 in make.conf, so I got kde4.

For some reason, my cursor keys and my delete key don't work. I can use the keypad to navigate, and the delete key there works just fine. I've tried the normal ones with numlock on and numlock off.

I am about 95% positive it has something to do with kde, although it may be a conflict with another setting somewhere. On a normal VT the keys work just fine, and in a failsafe login the keys work as well.

I've looked in System Settings -> Region & Language and set the keyboard to Generic PC 101 and Generic PC 104. Neither one helped.

Any ideas would be lovely.

This guy has the same issue:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-52 ... ml#5251780

he made a lot of attempts on Xorg.conf then solved it backing up emails and doing a nice:
rm -fr ~/.kde
it seems a bad configuration of kde4

I had a similar issue, but i used kde 3.5.9.
If Control Center>>>Peripherals>>>Mouse>>>Mouse Navigation is enable and you use an other pointing device in the same time, the numpad won't work correctly.

I removed all the .kde files in my home directory. .kde, .kde4, .kderc. That did the trick. Thanks!
