No titlebars neither effects in compiz

Hi,
when I start compiz-fusion (with compiz-start) my desktop windows lose the titlebar and some key combos are not picked up by the window manager but are redirected to the current focused application (e.g. ALT+TAB). Also, I can't seem to get any effect to work.
Can anyone please give me some help? I've followed this Howto but I'm stuck because it doesn't describe this problem.

I have KDE 3.5, openGL working fine, and it is an Nvidia 7900 card.

First of all, to start compiz in command line, use

compiz --replace ccp --loose-binding

Do not use the command compiz-start. That is a very outdated script.

Second, run ccsm:
--> Windows Decoration --> Command --> emerald --replace
This should fix the windows title problem.

Third, in ccsm , following should be all check-marked:
-- Move Window
-- Resize Window

Also check http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-701728.html for vblank and xorg.conf setting I posted there.
