Gentoo 2008 Beta 2 form AMD-64 install problems

I got the AMD-64 install-live DVD last night for my Hp TX1410US (AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64(2.20GHz), 2GB RAM, 250GB SATA, 12" touch screen, Nvidia GO 6150 with 128MB shared VRAM, Nvidia MCP51 sound, Broadcom 4328 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, Nvidia MPC51 ethernet). The live DVD boots and runs fine, it finds everything except the wireless BCM 4328, which I expected. I ran the graphic installer after partitioning the SATA drive (4 GB swap, 200MB ext2 /boot, the remainder reiserfs /) it fails:
"exception received during 'Umpack stage tarball'; CopyPackageToChrootError :FATAL: copy_pkg_to_chroot: Could not execute pkg_setup for"

Any work around for this, so I don't have to do a manual install?

You should so be using the manual install.

Don't be scared, I could guide you through it. :)

It is easy follow the handbook to the t and you will be fine it looks hard but its really not Id suggest a stage 3 tarball to start and learn cause you will mess up sometime and its easiest to get back up and running fast, then once confident try 1 or 2.

I am having a similar problem with the DVD on a Intel Core 2 Duo (Lenovo Thinkpad T60).

I don't recall how I got it to install before with 2007, but right now it is not detecting my Wireless card automatically.

The procedure documented in http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/2 ... t=1&chap=4 does not work for me neither does the GTK version. Just want to confirm if there is a known fix on this or bug reported already before I open one up.
