Kopete4 + ssl

Post by eldacar » Mon Jan 21, 2008 11:53 am

I have problems getting SSL support into the new Kopete in KDE 4.0.0

I have app-crypt/qca-2.0.0-r2 and app-crypt/qca-ossl-2.0.0_beta3 installed and have reinstalled kopete since i installed those. But still it does not connect to my Google Talk account...

From the messages when I emerged kopete this seemed to be all that is necessary.

Anyone got kopete running with google talk?

Same here, probably because of the beta3 in qca-ossl :( MSN works, however, and as far as I know it also uses SSL for the login.

Neither have I, and I'm probably not the one to say but I hink it's just with the way the ebuild is building the qca-ossl module and linking kopete to it. It's the only thing I can think of, cause it's probably not finding the module like it's supposed to.

Hi,
this seems to be a Qt issue (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155564).
Has anyone found a solution to this issue for gentoo, like a patch for Qt, ... ?

Thanks

Looks like I'm in the same boat here. This is on a fresh install of Gentoo, with KDE4 as its only WM, with the necessary plugins from Portage.
