[solved] Problem emerging cairomm-1.4.6

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

[solved] Problem emerging cairomm-1.4.6

I still have problems with inkscape. I have re-emerged poppler and poppler-bindings with cairo flag. Didn't help.

looks like a bunch of stuff is outdated or at least not what packages depending on them expect. Have you tried running revdep-rebuild?

I'm having a similar problem. If I emerge gparted it first needs cairomm (gtkmm) while compiling cairomm:

Masking x11-libs/cairo-1.5.14 and installing version 1.5.12 fixed it for me.
Now I can emerge cairomm.

Update: dev-cpp/cairomm-1.5.0 (~) is in the tree.

I broke something doing an update world and am not sure what to fix. I hope someone can help me.

cairomm is in there but inkscape and libgnomeuimm are not, once Gnome 2.22 is finished and added to the portage you will be able to use the updated cairo but not until. I dont know about inkscape.

My question is was this an unannounced deprecation in cairo or what really caused the problem to begin with?

For now masking cairo >= 1.5.14 works
