So far as I know, everything with a 68K processor will work so long as there's an FPU (correct? Or is it another one of those little CPU bits?).
I know M68LC0X0 won't work because they lack the important part. MMU! That's what I was thinking of, not the FPU. Dur. 2.8MB... wouldn't be able to do much with that, but it would be cute.
I'm disappointed with the state of Palm Linux. I wish there were a flash-rom upgrade, because I have a Palm IIIc that works and a Palm IIIc that has a cracked screen. The one with a cracked screen would be great for Linux, because I could still hook it up to the folding keyboard and do stuff on it...
They'd be great for headless machines... like having a pocket terminal that you could just plug in and use to monitor the machine. No real need for other software, just some basic shell commands.
amd
would be all you really needed...
I'm surprised that there aren't more hackers making headway on this development. Of course, if I care so much I should be working on it... I know, I know. I swear I'll have time to learn to code someday
