Does anybody know of MPPC kernel patches? This site: http://mppe-mppc.alphacron.de/ hasn't provided any patches beyond 2.6.13 which is no longer in the portage tree.
I'd like to use it with a Verizon EVDO card. I need to use the 'mppe-mppc' use flag with PPP or I frequent hang ups. I'm hoping that I can reduce the hangups further with a MPPC patch. (Actually, it's amazing that it works at all without it.)

Unpatched pppd & kernel have MPPE support, so you don't really need this patch. This patch only adds MPPC support which is a compression algorithm and the latest kernel patch is, as you already saw, for 2.6.13.
I don't see how MPPC could improve connection uptime. The only thing that could improve it is by using MPPE stateless encryption instead the statefull one.
