Code: Select all
# emerge /usr/portage/dev-util/anjuta/anjuta-1.1.1.ebuild
I think anjuta is being moved entirely into gnome, perhaps something so monumental requires such a change.zhenlin wrote:Anjuta with GTK+2 is very pretty. USE="gtk2" is not needed.
Scaffold sounds interesting... But why the name change?
What's proprietary about Qt? The fact that it can coexist as open source and commercial software?IvanHoe wrote:Anjuta is very nice. I personally stay away from anything to do with the K desktop because of the proprietatry nature of Qt.
I do in fact have gtk2 in my USE flag yet Anjuta still looks like it's using GTK1Arker wrote:I assume this is what you meant by old widgets?
Anjuta2 was supposed to be a merge between Anjuta and gIDE, which never happened. So the Anjuta Hackers went back to porting Anjuta1 to gtk2. And the gIDE people had no reason to keep the anjuta name. You can have a look at this article on gnomedesktop more something more detailled.zhenlin wrote:Scaffold sounds interesting... Well make sure you emerge the right version of Anjuta using the full path to the ebuild as I did up there in my last post. I think just typing "emerge anjuta" still gives you version 1.0.2 or something. That is why you are still getting GTK1 widgets.Lycander wrote: I do in fact have gtk2 in my USE flag yet Anjuta still looks like it's using GTK1
Come to think of it I think I did just 'emerge anjuta' and took whatever version it gave me. Will try again, thanks. In the meantime I'm getting quite fond of geditArker wrote:Well make sure you emerge the right version of Anjuta using the full path to the ebuild as I did up there in my last post.
