I'm not sure if here is the right place for this...if not please move it where you consider it's best. Thank you
My problem: I have some managed switches (zyxel) and i want to setup syslog on a gentoo box ( to see when ports go down and things like that)
What i want to do: people ( technicians mostly) to use a browser conect via web to the gentoo box and see the logs in a webpage . They will just have to click on the switch name, and see the logs for that switch etc
So what do i need to achive this ? (besides the obvious
Do you guys know any front-end for a syslog ( it can be any syslog ) which can generate html code based on the actual logs? or what other method do you suggest?
The purpose of this is to see the logs quickly ( yes i know you can search the logs fast enough , but not all people know how to do this)
Thank you
