Well when you emerge nwn with the "nowin" option it puts all resources in the directory "nwn" so the executable is "nwmain" and that is what I am running.

What does it take to install manually?

You might want to try installing it with the ravage installer.

Works like a champ.

yeah, just make sure you're installing the right language patch or you won't be able to load any modules. :)

well dont worry about it now, becasue apparently my f***ing install 2 disk is messed up, becasue disk 1 and 3 both work, but not 2. One drive says it has a bad superblock, and my cd burner reports that I am trying to load ISO9960 instead of ISO9660..... right

The problem with the USE="nowin" and the NWN ebuild is that it installs everything into /opt/nwn/nwn, and the linux client gets installed into /opt/nwn, basically what i did was delete the /opt/nwn folder, unpack the core stuff to /opt and the client to /opt/nwn manually and then do the usual shiznit, and it works great, well sort of my computer is being assy. Athlon xp 1600+Ti 4200 128mb=3000 in glxgears AGH!
