Hm, k8 64bit here. And I can run freaky 32bit things like reaper sequencer in wine w/o problems, also firefox is fine with flash.kernelOfTruth wrote:++Waninkoko wrote:64bits kernel and using 32bits apps/plugins?Lord_Raven wrote:Hi, kernel 2.6.24-rc7-zen1 is panic while open flash on FireFox (youtube, etc...). so I was wrong I am using master-devel, but in this case the problem still exists for me. after resuming from hibernation from disk I have those warning messages appearing one after another in my logs...yulo99 wrote:I am using coustom-kernels ovarlay (layman) and have zen-sources-9999 installed, so it is master i suppose..Waninkoko wrote:Are you using master or master-devel branch? In current master-devel branch this problem is fixed (and I'll apply the fixes in master soon).yulo99 wrote:hi,
I was describing my problems with tuxonice hibernation on thinkpad t60 about two days ago..
It started to work with the latest version (118 revision) ! Thanks.
But now I have sth like that in my kern.log:

BTW. Thanks for the great patches, it reminds me of why I wanted to use Gentoo in the first place.
Enable it... then it is therearzed wrote:/proc/acpi/ac_adapter seems to work fine now in rc7-zen1, but /proc/acpi/video still isn't there.arzed wrote: For me there seems to be a ACPI-related problem with 2.6.24_rc6-zen0:

Uh, now it happened here too.. flash in 64bit ff triggered it.Waninkoko wrote:NicekernelOfTruth wrote:++Waninkoko wrote:64bits kernel and using 32bits apps/plugins?Lord_Raven wrote:Hi, kernel 2.6.24-rc7-zen1 is panic while open flash on FireFox (youtube, etc...). On 2.6.24-r6-zen0 it worked OK.

Lol, I'll check this ^^Martigen wrote:Possible bug:
This is with 2.6.24-rc7-zen1.
The values in /proc/sys/vm don't appear to match the tunings selected in the Zen kernel tunables. They appear to default to Desktop values even if selecting Low Latency or doing Custom. For eg:
# sysctl vm.mapped
vm.mapped = 66
However I set this to 75 in the kernel config for my build. Same goes with the other settings (hardmaplimit, tail large files etc), so the tunables appear to be being ignored.
Probably kernel is crashing in the next step. I'll check this too.kriko wrote:I just compiled a fresh kernel for my second machine (nforce2 chipset, sempron), kernel halts here on bootup (image):

no idea why. Bios is latest.
Kernel config:
http://files.myopera.com/kriko/other/config-amdK7
EDIT: no-hlt, apm=off, acpi=off boot options doesn't help
I was researching a bit and next steps on boot should be ACPI/APM stuff, but unfortunately disabling those doesn't help.Waninkoko wrote:Probably kernel is crashing in the next step. I don't know. Just did this:kriko: using master or master-devel?

Is this ok? Will be master-devel now checked everytime when executing pull?Waninkoko wrote:You're using "master" branch, the stable branch (well, atm is not stable... I'm waiting to have a stable tree to put it in master).
Could you check master-devel branch? It includes many fixes
