Program to max out CPU [SOLVED]

  • Quote

Post by jtaylor72 » Mon Nov 26, 2007 9:58 pm

I am getting a blade system in to our datacenter and I need to put all of the blades under load to test the power consumption. Is there an app out there that I can run off a livecd that will allow me to do this? Thanks in advance!

Don't know how much you need to monitor, but, http://www.ultimatebootcd.com is a bootable CD, and has some CPU testing tools which would certainly put the CPU under some heavy load.

I didn't use a livecd (I just installed a basic gentoo cli system on our new server) and used gimps. It's in portage.

The ultimate boot cd should have something that works. It has almost everything under the sun...
