[Solved] Script to help with long emerges

I had a script from these forums at one point that would count the number of source files, object files and print them to the screen so the user could get a rough idea of how far along an emerge is. Especially useful for those emerges that are incredibly long (OO.org). Unfortunately I lost the script and I can't find it here, does anyone have anything similar or know of a good way to do this (gauge how long an ebuild will take)?

genlop (app-portage/genlop) has these functions. I think it reads from emerge.log, but that's just a hunch....
