CodeWeavers crossover-office [HALF SOLVED]

Hello,

I have a little problem and don't know how is the best way to fix it. If I would like to install crossover-office-bin-6.0.0 I will get at first the following information :

Code: Select all

!!! app-emulation/crossover-office-bin-6.0.0 has fetch restriction turned on.
!!! This probably means that this ebuild's files must be downloaded
!!! manually. See the comments in the ebuild for more information.

Please visit http://www.codeweavers.com/site/products/cxoffice/
and place install-crossover-standard-6.0.0.sh in /usr/portage/distfiles
So done - I downloaded the file install-crossover-standard-demo-6.0.0.sh from that website and changed the name to the name without DEMO ;-)

Problem is, that the Red Flag "F" still is here with the emerge. But wenn I say yes - because I know the file is stored in the right directory - I will got that following error :

Code: Select all

!!! Previously fetched file: 'install-crossover-standard-6.0.0.sh'
!!! Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
!!! Got: 20093180
!!! Expected: 20086564
Refetching...
So shit happens I can't install the file and so I think that there is a mistake in the filesize from the portage or from COdeWeavers.

Other thing is that I can't download a trial version for the crossover-office-pro-bin-6.0.0 !!! Does anybody know where I can get it for testing ??

bye
Alex

Hi again,

I think I have fixed it with a nonconventional method :

Code: Select all

ebuild /usr/portage/app-emulation/crossover-office-bin/crossover-office-bin-6.0.0.ebuild digest
So the RED Flag "F" is now a green Flag "f" and the install and compile will work fine with emerge ;o)

Here's how you do it in one step:

Code: Select all

emerge --digest crossover-office-bin
Creates the digest and installs in one step.

You're right - this is a little bit easier in one way.

Thanks alex

The reason for the problem: The ebuild is for the full version of crossover office, not only the demo and the demo of course has another file size and another md5 hash.
Workstation: 5.1 SurroundSound, LIRC remote control; Laptop [IBM-T43]: patched sources, s2disk/ram, fingerprint sensor

Yes.
