KDE and Grub [SOLVED]

Post by klees » Tue Aug 14, 2007 10:27 pm

I was hoping KDE 3.5.7 would have fixed the issue I have where I can not see my Grub entry list from the logout menu in KDE. This must be a Gentoo specific issue since I have not experienced this on any other distro. Below is my menu.lst file:

Code: Select all

default saved
timeout 10
splashimage=(hd1,1)/grub/splash.xpm.gz

title=Gentoo Vanilla 2.6.22.2
root (hd1,1)
kernel /kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.22.2 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/sdb5 quiet scsi_mod.scan=sync
initrd /initramfs-genkernel-x86-2.6.22.2
savedefault
boot

title=Gentoo Vanilla 2.6.22.1
root (hd1,1)
kernel /kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.22.1 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/sdb5 quiet
initrd /initramfs-genkernel-x86-2.6.22.1
savedefault
boot

title=Gentoo Vanilla 2.6.21.6
root (hd1,1)
kernel /kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.21.6 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/sdb5 quiet
initrd /initramfs-genkernel-x86-2.6.21.6
savedefault
boot

title=Gentoo 2.6.19-gentoo-r5
root (hd1,1)
kernel /kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.19-gentoo-r5 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/sdb5
initrd /initrd-genkernel-x86-2.6.19-gentoo-r5
savedefault
boot

title=Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
savedefault
makeactive
chainloader +1
Does anyone have any idea why I do not get a list when I hold down the restart button in the logout window? (I have Grub selected under Login Manager.)

title=Gentoo Vanilla 2.6.22.2
Here's your problem. Remove the "=" from the title lines and they ought to show up fine in KDE.
