Typo in default fstab

  • Quote

Post by boomslang » Tue Aug 07, 2007 12:43 am

Would it be worth anyone's while to fix the "audo" typo in the default fstab present in the amd64 stage3? I know it doesn't /really/ matter because everyone changes it anyway, but it wouldn't hurt to have it say "auto" instead of "audo."

This is the line:

Code: Select all

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom audo noauto,ro 0 0
Sorry if this is a poor thread...

Probably would be worth the time. I'm actually surprised I haven't seen a post about some drive not working with the poster trying to use that in the fstab file.

A tribute to the intelligence of the human race, I'm sure!

That's the same with the x86 architecture fstab. Noticed it, wondered what "audo" did, and changed it to auto. :P

Well, sure, if you're actually going to do research about it....

That's good. I assume it would be too much of an ordeal to push an update out to all the stage mirrors for one measly typo.

I have contacted Release Engineering and received verification that as this is a fairly trivial issue, there does not seem to be cause to release a new set of stages before 2007.1. Presently, 2007.1 is planned to be to released in November.
