aspell-en blocking aspell [Solved]

When I run 'emerge -ud world' it complains that aspell-en-0.5* is blocking aspell-0.60.4-r1, both of which are actually emerged. Ok, so if I unmerge aspell-en it emerges again both aspell and aspell-en. Then when I sync again and try to update, I get the exact same thing.

If you have aspell-0.60.4-r1, you should be upgrading to aspell-en-6.0.0. Check your package.keywords file..

This worked for me as well, why I didn't try that yesterday Is beyond me.

So how did you fix this problem? aspell is not in my packages.keywords file, I removed it when I thought it might have been the problem.

Never mind, I had one of the entries for aspell misspelled.

I'm getting the blocked message when updating world... So the fix is to add aspell to package.keywords?

Thanks Klees, unmerging aspell-en and aspell did it for me too;
Only difference being that I didn't bother to specifically re-emerge aspell-en, I just re-ran my emerge --deep world and it picked it all up again nicely.

Can anybody answer why portage can't simply do these things itself?

Yeah, I would like to understand that too. No aspell package is in my world file, and I see no packages that need old versions of aspell
