I am going to assume (because I have limited information from your post) that either:

1. You have a new ATI or NVIDIA card and not the binary drivers, in which case the solution is to use (and properly set up) the binary drivers.

2. You have an old card, in which case the solution (AFAIK) is to buy a better card.

I would suspect that FretsOnFire is looking for a 24-bit GLX visual. Try changing DefaultDepth to 24.
