Flash/java transparency/layer problems in firefox?

Hi All,

I have a problem with flash (might be java, i'm not really sure) pages when viewing them with firefox. This page is a good example:

http://www.citicards.com/cards/wv/home.do

The page will start to load, then immediately goes to a white page where I get some text bubbles corresponding to pop-up information from the two "?" buttons on the right hand side of the screen. If I make them both go away, I can then get back to the login page.

Another example would be the samsung website:

http://www.samsung.com/

The menus that appear when highlighting the "products", "support", etc titles on the top of the page, load BEHIND the interactive box below it, so I can't click on links.

Any ideas? I'm running the 32-bit firefox binary but I had this same problem on a 32-bit system with firefox compiled from source.

Well the first website is using flash. I guess you have followed the guide on the wiki right? http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Flash_9_and_Firefox
Also your USE flags, have you add nsplugin to them?
Do we watch anime to live or do we live to watch anime?

Yea, I have the nsplugin flag set and I do get flash displayed, it just doesn't display correctly compared to FF/Flash in windoze.....Nothing special in the wiki that I can tell, I don't use nsplugin wrapper since I'm sticking with 32-bit firefox for the time being.

I have the same problem - I think that's simply a bug.

I've had it on all of my systems, but I'd really like that bug to get resolved!
