What a heck a lot of fun. I was just cruisin' the net and found it. Its kinda like a cross of robotron and asteroids. Hours of purposeless fun!

but its a pretty old version... but as far i haven't found a build of 5.4 for linux... only win and mac osx :/
anybody know where to find a 5.4 build?

I've been playing this too and it's pretty fun. But I can't seem to get my gravis gamepad to work. Has anyone been successful with getting their gamepads to work?

there is an ebuild at the bugtracker, i updated it (removed virtual-x11 otherwise it won't merge)

feel free to improve.

edit: I just tried to play with my gamepad (ms sidewinder usb) and the shooting is very strange, could somebody explain this for me? I shoot to the left and it shoots right, and some time later the same button shoots to left. wtf.

Looks like a trippy good time, but--I used your ebuild and it doesn't run for me. It dies fast, and the only hint I've gotten is "appstub.linux signal handler 11". Any ideas?

The author took the game down after being approached by the company that created Geometry Wars for the Xbox 360, which Gridwars is basically a clone of. So we'll never be seeing this in portage.

Bah.

Any idea on my failure there? I'm not even really sure which library is at fault. I'll probably try this on my desktop--I had a similar problem where Gish wouldn't work on my Freevo--but I'd rather it work on the Freevo. Weird

Tried it out with my PS2 controller + ems usb adapter and no go on analog w/ the gamepad -- the configuration util freezes on me too

I'm running the windows version through wine and dont see n e problems. Game pad works too lol
