Depgraph creation failed

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

Depgraph creation failed

How do I fix this? I'd like to remove everything to do with Mono development, but I'm not sure how to find out which Mono packages are installed.

Code: Select all

goliath ~ # emerge -uaND world

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating world dependencies \
!!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been
!!! pulled into the dependency graph:

('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.8.2', 'merge') pulled in by
  ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/gtkhtml-sharp-2.8.2', 'merge')

('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.10.0', 'merge') pulled in by
  ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/gnomevfs-sharp-2.16.0', 'merge')
  ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/gconf-sharp-2.16.0', 'merge')
  ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-util/mono-tools-1.2.1', 'merge')
  ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/glade-sharp-2.10.0', 'merge')
  ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/art-sharp-2.16.0', 'merge')

It may be possible to solve this problem by using package.mask to
prevent one of those packages from being selected. However, it is also
possible that conflicting dependencies exist such that they are
impossible to satisfy simultaneously. If such a conflict exists in the
dependencies of two different packages, then those packages can not be
installed simultaneously.

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page
or refer to the Gentoo Handbook.

I'm pretty sure somebody messed up an ebuild.

Wait a bit then "emerge --sync" and try again. it happens sometimes

Sorry, didn't read your post. I just looked at the error.

To find out if you have a package installed, run "emerge -av <package>" and if at the left there is an orange R, it is already installed. R means reinstall.

I wouldn't recommend removing any mono packages unless you know that no packages depend on them. run "emerge --depclean -av" to determine if a package isn't needed.
