HI all,
Recently installed KDE, and inside KDE if i open nautilus or some of the gnome program the icons goes wierd and becomes blank paper icons.

Does anybody experienced it?

I also have problem with mounting already connected USB storage media with KDE,
KDE mounts only if it is plugged in after login. where as if connecte the USB and login it doesn't mount it
any solution to this?

Gnome however mounts it anyway.

Thanks
Prem

The reason apps between gnome and kde look bad are because of the way the window managers were written. Gnome is to use GTK libraries and KDE to use QT libraries. Applications that use either library and their corresponding window manager are also known as native apps. Nautilus being a GTK application isn't going to look pretty like the rest of KDE and its QT apps. If you are using KDE, try and use QT native apps like KDE's file manager (Konqueror) because it will not only look pretty, but also run faster than a GTK app.

As far as the USB problem, maybe KDE is set to only autodetect when things are plugged/unplugged. Have you check /media to see if there is a directory for your usb device? I come from mostly a GNOME background, so I can't help out with a workaround.
