Hello,

I know with old version of Cedega (winex 3.x) I could use the "nice" command to improve performance of some games (Starcraft for instance).
How can I use this command with Cedega (5.2)?

You could edit the command on your menu from:

Code: Select all

cedega
to:

Code: Select all

nice -n0 cedega
failing that, just run cedega from the command line with the above code

starting with cedega 5, there's a setting for that in the UI, but there's a much more efficient scheduler they implemented anyway.
Moved to using Arch Linux

it was the wineserver that made the difference. the newer cedega gui has an option called scheduler. its usually marked as default. i would first see if the game you are playing has a GDDB entry, and use it first. if there isn't one, then try changing the scheduler priority.

cheers
