Make 2 screens out of 1 MergedFB

Hello,

I managed to get a MergedFb working on my ATI 9600SE, even with different resolutions and refresh rates for two monitors ! Now I want to run MythTV on my second monitor and let XFCE handle my first monitor.

For the moment, XFCE stretches the panel and the taskbar over the two monitors. If I maximize a window, it will stretch over the two monitors as well. Is it possible to limit XFCE to the first monitor ?

This would be separating the MergedFB back in two parts and running XFCE on one of them...

Any suggestions would be great !

Use the "xinerama" use flag and recompile your system (emerge --newuse world will suffice). Now window managers and desktop environments should respect screen boundaries.
