  • Quote

Post by m_spidey » Fri Jan 19, 2007 3:59 am

Hey Guys

I need to have a kernel without modules, I was just wonder how do I pass the parameters to the bonding module if its built into the kernel?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Maybe I Just pass kernel parameters from gurb, how can I do that?

I'm pretty sure you do it by adding them onto your kernel command line (in GRUB, like you say), but with bonding.<parameter>=<value>, eg :

kernel rw root=/dev/sda2 ... blah ... bonding.mode=balance-rr bonding.primary=eth0

This should work for any module, if you just use <modulename>.<moduleoption>=<value>

The parameters available for bonding are in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/networking/bonding.txt
