After I posted this http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160867 I came to realise that I'm going to have to find another way around this. How would I go about getting the HAL 32bit libs to work on AMD64? I compiled them in a 32bit chroot and copied them to the main install's /usr/lib32 but when any app that is being compiled tries to use them it gets lots of undefined references and says it can't use it.
Does anyone know how this can be made to work? (i.e. the way the emul libs normally work).
