I bought this the other day because it had all the features I wanted and "Linux Supported!". Well, that wasn't great. Turns out their driver is version 0.03 and only works on x86 (I'm on x86_64). They seem to provide the source for their driver so someone could have a look at it but I've never done anything of that sort so I have no idea what I'd be doing. lsusb shows 07ca:a828 and I've had zero luck looking this up on Google.

Does anyone own this hardware or have any ideas about how to modify the source to make it work?

I'd suggest you try looking at the resources on www.linuxtv.org as this is the main site for Linux TV hardware drivers.

I found this page in the wiki there - http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/A ... rid-FM_PCI - check the link the manufacturers website at the top there. Is it your card?

Already been through everything I could find on LinuxTV.org.

More info from the card if anyone needed it:

Code: Select all

usb 1-6: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 8
usb 1-6: new device found, idVendor=07ca, idProduct=a828
usb 1-6: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
usb 1-6: Product: AVerTV
usb 1-6: Manufacturer: AVerMedia
usb 1-6: SerialNumber: 404719400486
usb 1-6: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
It doesn't seem to be the same chipset as the PCI one, this is USB and doesn't seem to be recognised by any current drivers.
