On my laptop (x86 gentoo), the digikamimageplugins don't work anymore since I upgraded to gcc4 (including emerge -e world). I even reinstalled my whole gentoo system. This was not just for these plugins, there were some other thing not functioning and I threw off Winblows and wanted to use the whole disk for Gentoo. After the reinstall the imageplugins still didn't work, so it can't be the case that I should do revdep-rebuild, re-emerging digikam and the plugins or something like that (which I tried before reinstalling my system). On my desktop computer, which runs the amd64 gentoo, everything works fine (I also upgraded this one to gcc4).
When I open showfoto, the plugins are all listed in the "Plugins" section of the "Settings" menu, but they are not listed in the menus (Image, Fix, Transform and Filters).
When I start showfoto from my konsole, I get the next error message:
showfoto: WARNING: KIPI::PluginLoader:: createInstanceFromLibrary returned 0 for ImagePlugin_Core (digikamimageplugin_core) with error number 5

QFile::open: No file name specified
I don't suppose the
QFile::open: No file name specified part is important, because I also get that on my desktop computer.
