font spacing in firefox [solved]

Hello all,

Recently I have noticed (since the upgrade to fontconfig 2.4.1) that small fonts in firefox are having a spacing issue. I have two screenshots to demonstrate this problem. The issue seems to only occur in firefox and not in any other gtk program that I have been able to notice (such as gedit).

Anyone have any ideas?

I am going to include some system info in case of relevance.

This is firefox-bin package on AMD64. GCC 4.1.1 Gnome 2.16

EDIT:

Hmm, it seems that all I had to do is go to about:config and set font.antialias.min to 7. Have no idea why that did it. Here is a screenshot for the sake of comparison.
