java-sdk not shown by emerge -punD world

Hi,

since a day or two there is dev-java/sun-jdk-1.5.0.08 available, it is ~x86 but I have configured this in my /etc/portage/package.keywords

My simple question is, why is this package not shown when I do a:

Code: Select all

emerge -punD world

How can I get informed that there is a update for this package?

Maybe your world file (/var/lib/portage/world) doesn't contain sun-jdk package. If this is the case (cat /var/lib/portage/world | grep sun-jdk), read these threads on how to fix this common problem:

Hi,

no dev-java/sun-jdk is in my world file ....

The next time this problem occurs I will try to fix is using regenworld, but now I have already installed the newest sdk.
