Rebuilding packages that depend on a known package.

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

Right then, just updated tiff, and saw a little message that recommended rebuilding packages that depend on tiff.

Ran "equery -a depends tiff" and got a nice listing of packages that depend on tiff.

Is there a clean way to emerge this batch of packages together, rather than each one individually?

Thanks in advance!

(Oh, and for my own edification, if Package A depends on Package B, is there a term to describe how Package B relates to Package A?)

Cheers!

I believe these are called reverse dependencies.
You could use revdep-rebuild (from the gentoolkit package). It tries to identify broken libraries/binaries and re-emerge them.
