HELP!
I'd really like to be able to sync my new HP rx1950 Ipaq Pocket PC with my various KDE PIM tools. I'm not having much luck, and I'm not finding much useful on the Internet.
When I connect the Ipaq via USB sync, which runs the new Windows Mobile 5 OS, it shows up as a "Generic RNDIS" device, however it doesn't take a driver, and I've tried the following Kernel modules with no avail: ipaq (under USB serial converters), generic usbserial, even rndis_host and usbnet. The modules load fine, but none seem to work with my Ipaq.
So, how do I get Linux to recognize my Ipaq (via USB driver), and once it does, which program can communicate with Windows Mobile 5? I use mostly KDE programs, so something like kitchensync would be fine, but I'm thinking it won't be as easy as I'd like.
Also, this Ipaq has wifi, so I wonder if there is a way to sync via the wifi vs. plugging in the USB cable? I've read somewhere that the latest PocketPC OS disables this (grrr!). I'm half-tempted to write my own program to extract the data from the files on the Ipaq and send that data somehow over the wifi to my notebook. Anyone aware of a Cygwin or even a simple ssh client and / or server for PocketPC?
I sure hope someone can steer me in the right direction - thanks!!!
Mike
