gentoo for SFU realy exist but is on top of windows
by the way SFU is so...slow that nobody would realy want it as the kernel!!!!

the more realistic thing would be gentoo on top of a reactOS unix subsystem but i wonder if it will be as slow as SFU (=>unusalbe)

i don't think that the win32 subsystem is better...(mabe it's a little bit faster?)
(some gnu uttilities have been ported to windows)

there would also be some problem with the memory managemet that is horible under windows
windows isn't a good os...better experiment with darwin,BSD,solaris or other

mabe reactos is better but it's not usable yet(as a win32 os)

Slightly off topic (not strictly Gentoo) but esoteric programming languages are very interesting, my favourite so far is Chef, then Wierd. To see just how weird some of them are, take a look here

thanks , I just could not resist a package called wtf

then just to test it:

Code: Select all

bash-3.1#wtf is rpm
RPM: revolutions per minute
hmm, I always thought it had some thing to do with going round in circles.

Humour is not limited to *nix tho.

press any key to continue ....
to shut down the computer , press the start button.
That shit has to be a joke , right? :?
Linux, because I'd rather own a free OS than steal one that's not worth paying for.
Gentoo because I'm a masochist

@Gentree: ROFL!

I also know this one from the help pages, where you have to click onto the question you want answered. One was:
I cannot see anything on any of my monitors, what do I do?

If you have nothing better to do one day, holify your system by searching all the source code on it and remove the expletives (cd /usr/src/linux && grep -R crap *; let your imagination take you away)

Or just revel in the fact that you know where they are.
Firefox is spelled F-i-r-e-f-o-x - only the first letter capitalized (i.e. not FireFox, not Foxfire, FoxFire or whatever else a number of folk seem to think it to be called.) The preferred abbreviation is "Fx" or "fx".

FF = Final Fantasy.

                    (FRAME_WRITE | (hp->paddr << 23) |
                     ((reg & 0xff) << 18) | (value & 0xffff)));
        while (!(hme_read32(hp, tregs + TCVR_FRAME) & 0x10000) && --tries)
                udelay(20);
