I'm not sure what to make of: "ndiswrapper: Unknown symbol wireless_send_event". Does anybody know how to fix this?

Do you have wireless support built into your kernel? I think you need the wireless extensions for ndiswrapper to work.

G.

PS. The config option you need is CONFIG_NET_RADIO

No. I took pains to set that option because make would throw an error
about it when I set out to emerge ndiswrapper.

That option is definately set. This has to do with another problem... :?

EDIT: maybe a reboot will fix it...

You need to use ndiswrapper-1.16... I have a bcm4309 and it works with 1.16, but gets the exact issue you describe if I bump to ndiswrapper-2.x... HTH
