No sound (alsa problem ?)

Hello,
Since 2 week I've a problem I didn't solve : I've no sound with mplayer or other media-players.

I've try an "emerge -e world" who didn't work.
I've try to rebuild my kernel, same result.

I don't see my error :
Alsa is enable in the kernel (I've follow de gentoo-alsa-guide)
the alsa use-flag is "on",
alsamixer reconnize my sound card,
there is no error in dmesg,
alsasound is in the boot rc-scripts,
mplayer is using alsa and work as everything where good.

What I've miss ?

Please, excuse my english...

Run alsaconfig in terminal and unmute channels you need with the M-key. I had the same issue. Good luck!

I think you mean alsamixer, all of the mixer are "unmute" and 100%.

For alsaconf (I didn't have alsaconfig) he can't detect any soundcard, but the kernel see it at boot.

If the problem is only occuring with mplayer it is most likely a setting in mplayer is invalid. Check mplayer options - options (control P) and select the correct output plugin. Click configure and choose correct settings.
