Idle timer->execute command

Hi there,

I'm looking for a tool that can monitor keyboard/mouse input and if no input is given for a specified time, it executes a command. Just like a screensaver does...

I googled and searched a few forums, but to no avail...

I want to use it for a background/idle sync and probably more...

You could try x11-misc/xautolock.

xautolock -time 10 -locker your-program

could probably work.
