Transparency issues

Hello!

Well, i've been using KDE 3.4.3 for some time now, and some things bother me..

If you look at http://olemartin.org/filer/transbug.jpg and http://olemartin.org/filer/transbug2.jpg, you can see my gmplayer with some buggy transparency, and also the opera loading-icon with the same issues.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Software:
QT: x11-libs/qt-3.3.6 USE="cups gif ipv6 mysql opengl sqlite xinerama" (The other useflags are disabled)
X11: x11-base/xorg-x11-7.0-r1 USE="-3dfx" (INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse" and VIDEO_CARDS="nvidia")
KDE: kde-base/kde-3.4.3

yes, the app is already trying to set a transparency, and X7 doesnt play well with pngs (i dont know about other formats) setting their own transparency. filing a bug with X.org might work...

For gmplayer, try using the kmplayer frontend, it's really good, and it wont have transparency issues. It's also a good idea to get KDE 3.5.2. You never know, your bug might arleady be fixed.

i seldom use gmplayer (seldom = never), this was just for the purpose of showing you guys the bug..

and, i also had this problem with X11 6.8..
