(solved)I botched kde

The other day I did a emerge --depclean and a revdep-rebuild and now KDE freezes when I try to start up kde. When I log on to KDE through KDM the KDE start window thing comes up and freezes at "initializing system services".

I have tyied recompiling all of my kde packages and even tried to do a emerge -avuD kdelibs but that didn't help at all. Loging in as another user didn't help either.

P.S. Yes I did do a emerge -p --depclean before hand but I didn't think those packages that it was going to remove would affect KDE.

an "emerge -auD world" should help clear things up. it should bing in whatever package you acidently deleted.

Well I just figured out that if I let it sit long enough kde eventually loads. It takes about 4 mins to load though.

found the fix. I just needed to re-enable net.lo
