Strano Rumore Sordo (STHhk) Testina Disco a riposo

Ragazzi il problema lo sto riscontrando soltanto sotto la mia gentoo mentre sotto win non fa nessun rumore strano.
Mi è iniziato questo rumore dopo aver fatto un emerge world(caso o fatalità?!?!).Quasi a intervalli regolari proprio quando il disco è bello fermo sento un fastidiosissimo e minaccioso rumore secco e sordo della testina, tipo un SThhhTK.E sono molto preoccupato per la sua salute.Sul disco non ho attivo nessun DMA ma non so se quel rumore dipenda da controlli fatti da qualche softw in background che io ignoro e che sicuramente non ho installato......

Quando la testina si sposta il rumore è molto più piulito..

quando fa un rumore secco, normalmente sta facendo la ricalibrazione... e se ne fa troppe è perché ha problemi il disco.

Installa gli smart tools e controlla lo stato del disco.

che non lo faccia sotto windows non è da fidarsi doppiamente

per i programmi: smartmontools che sono in portage

lo so che vado leggermente fuori strada: però dato che il rumore non lo possiamo sentire e possiamo solo fare delle ipotesi te ne pongo un'altra: se hai attivato l'autospin-down del disco teoricamente quando riparte fa un po' di rumore. ho sentito dei dischi un po' vecchiotti fare dei veri concerti mentre si riattivavano. potrebbe essere un problema simile. soprattutto se gli smarttool non rilevano niente di grave.

Ho dato smartctl e dopo aver controllato lo stato di smart ho passato il parametro -H /dev/sda -d ata questo:

Questi sono gli errori riportati..ma sembrano dovuti principalmente al tentato utilizzo del dma su libata..ora completamente disattivato..

Ho provato ad effettuare un test conveyance essendo un portatile ma

nessun errore... come e cosa dovrei pensare visto che il rumore resta!!!Ma soltanto quando il disco è non usato poichè se è usato non fa rumore?!?!

La ricalibrazione la effettua e lo sento perfettamente perchè si sente anche il rumore dei dischi...questo tipo di rumore è troppo strano

Si sente solo un bottina secca sthk quasi come una steccata ma senza il rumore dei dischi...

prova ad usare anche le utility diagnostiche scaricabili dal sito del produttore dell'hard disk... in ogni caso backuppa, e di corsa!
