first with the comments...
Since about november, I successfully installed gentoo, and be happy with,
since 5 months, I couldn't do a successfull upgrade, or even a full new install.
Once I got near, but then come '-march=pentium4'.
Other time it *was* compiled to kde, but I mad an 'emerge=sync' to loose it again.
As I read this forum I see similar problems, what I had, mostly emerge syncing helps, and so on...
The question is where all these comming from?
Dependencies are not calculated correctly?
How are they come from? Only a guess from the ebuild writer?
And how will a realy-stable-final version of the portage tree will be marked?
It will be to me to manage, or will be a solution, probably through KEYWORDS to mark them to a specific release?
The concrate point where the compile now hangs since a week,
is with package 'gnome-base/gnome-panel-2.2.1',
with code part:
Code: Select all
In file included from panel-typebuiltins.c:10:
../gnome-panel/panel-types.h:10: `GNOME_Vertigo_PANEL_ORIENT_UP' undeclared here (not in a function)
