for 32bit? (SOLVED)

Hi

If I don't want compile gentoo as 64 bit what do I use is it CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -pipe -O2"?

Just use the x86 stages.

download the x84 install cd and just use that (including following all the x86 documentation)

-march=athlon64 does not compile 64-bit binaries--it just tunes things for that specific processor. Technically, what would change the bitness would be CHOST, but it also takes more than just changing that to "x86_64-pc-linux-gnu".
