I use Fluxbox as my main WM, and I've always liked the MAC OSX toolbar, so I was wondering if you could incorporate Flux with Engage???
Now if that is possible then my next question would be:
How do you go about customizing Engage for Flux (transperancy, change the icons, etc..etc..)???
I haven't seen it done, but I thought it would look cool ...

Emerge engage, go to www.get-e.org and read the FAQ for the standalone engage. But I guess I'd better warn you the development of the standalone engage stalled quite a while ago. So things just might not work.

Well, I've already gone through all the steps of successfully emerging E17, which was part of my goal. I've tried many different window managers, but with this new 80gb HD I wanted to approach things from a different angle. Ideally, I wanted to use three different window managers:
a) Stable/Failsafe
b) Experimental
c) Unstable/Experimental
After going through the gamut of trying out different WM/DE, I chose:
a) Fluxbox as my Failsafe
b) FVWM as my experimental
c) E17 as my unstable experimental
I wanted to use Entrance as my Login Manager, to keep consistent with what I'm doing. Besides, I don't like KDM, or XDM, GDM would be my only exception as a last resort of course. Anyway, getting back to the point, besides trying to use Engage with other window managers eventually, when I get more comfortable, I would like to try mixing other elements of different WM to see what I can create...
I had engage working in KDE so I don't see why you couldn't get it to work in Flux. But again... it's old and some things jsut won't work with it. As for mixing E17 elements with other wm's... it might be tricky since E17 is modular in design. I have no clue on how to get (or if it's even possible) its modules working outside of it. This goes for e, e_modules and partly engage. Probably some other things too... Evidence, Erss, Entice and other apps should work regardless of the WM used tho.
Good luck and have fun playing.
