My Perfect MythTV Installation

Hi,

I am about to start out on a venture to build my perfect MythTV Box using gentoo but first I have a few questions.

(1) I have built a VGA to Scart cable that work fine within winblows I am able to get a resolution of 1024x576 @ 25hz Interlaced that works great with powerstrip I have the modeline timing params, Would it be possible to use these timings straight from grub to framebuffer to Xorg so that there is no nasty flickering when booting, if so how would I do it?

(2) I have an ATI 9700 Pro that currently is working with winblows and also a NVIDIA 6800GT Spare which would you put into the box as I heard the drivers for nvidia have problems supporting interlaced also the NVIDIA doesn't work with composite sync which is needed for my cable to work correctly I think?

I am using an ati all in wonder radeon 9700 pro and it is working fine, after just a little mucking. I dont use it at the moment for capture but I hear that it works fine on that end as well.
