Embedded linux on Belkin F5D7632UK4

Hi All,

I'm interested in modifying my Belkin F5D7632UK4 (a wireless adsl router) so it will be able to use of the ethernet ports to route traffic from rather than the adsl dialup. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an embedded linux out there for this device already or had some suggestions on where I should start looking to get gentoo (perhaps from GNAP? http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/embedded/gnap.xml) on there.

Cheers,

Alan.

Well... without knowing what those things run internally... getting Gentoo on them is an impossibility.

If it's one of the Broadcom router clones, then you're in luck... they're little-endian MIPS32-based machines which run Linux out of the box. However, you'll probably have to run the µClibc-based embedded stages for MIPS1 (mipsel1 to be exact), as we don't offer any MIPS32 compatable stages based off glibc.

Thanks guys. From a quick google it apparently it based on a broadcom chipset. Any suggestions/pointers what my next step would be?
Cheers,

Alan.
