Whenever I set the scheduling govenor to ondemand instead of performance, firefox will randomly crash. It goes back to normal when set to performance.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem, so I just let the CPU run at max 
I sent a bug to the mozilla peoples, no answer yet.
I really doubt this is a gentoo bug -- all the other apps seem ok.
