K3b speeding limiting

  • Quote

Post by Ma3oxuct » Sat Apr 30, 2005 4:43 am

My k3b oddly limits its self to speeds of 1x for dvdrs and 16x for cdrs, depite claiming:

Code: Select all

Writing Speed: 11356 kb/s (8.20x)
It takes me over one hour to burn a dvd. I do not know if this is a bug or not because k3b seems to detect my hardware correctly and automatically detects the speeds of my dvdrs and burner.

Should I file a bug report or am I missing some sort of trivial setting?

p.s. It is not a problem with permissions because I get the same results running the program using root and regular user.

What do you think that it could be, debugging output does not show anything wrong at all...what use flags and optimizations are you using?
