Xmms and alsa distortion problems.

Hi all,

For a while, before the latest screwy xmms update, everything was working fine. I had solved my previous distortion problem using the crossfade plugin. Unfortunately, because of the crummy pause problem, I updated xmms and xmms-alsa to the ~x86 version (1.2.10-r14) and now I'm getting a different sort of distortion and that's when I use crossfade!

I've filed bugs with xmms, but they're obviously not interested in my problem. Is there a specific person who deals with the alsa plugin who I can complain to? I mean, jeez, it just seems as if xmms never has any long-term stability. It just keeps breaking, gets fixed for a short time, and then breaks again.

try to use alsa-lib-1.0.9

alsa-lib-1.0.8 have distorsions issues...

My main problem with XMMS is that they made the MAD plug in for mp3 decoding the default one installed insted of mpg123. Installing the mpg123 pluging and disabling MAD fixed a lot of problems for me.
